The star or rating system is a running tab of total stars (essentially, points of support) accumulated. The scale is shown below:
Neutral. - 0 stars
It's Okay. - 1 star
I Like it. - 2 stars
I Love it! - 3 stars
These points indicate an individual's support for a particular idea. The number of stars listed next to the idea represents the running total of stars an idea has received.
For example, the above rating scale has eight recorded stars. This could mean a few things:
1. Two participants rated the idea as "I Love it!" and one participant rated it as "I Like it" to equal eight stars.
2. Eight participants rated the idea as "It's Okay."
3. Four participants rated the idea as "I Like it."
